Acton Gardens Winter Event 2023
The annual Acton Gardens Winter Event took place on Friday 1st of December 2023 at the Community Centre.
The choir from Acton Gardens Primary opened the event, singing classic Christmas songs following which residents got busy with festive arts and crafts from decorating gingerbread men to making their tree decorations and Christmas cards. There was also a wreath-making station which proved very popular but not as popular as the hot chocolate and waffle station which had a steady flow of people throughout the evening.
We were treated to another performance by local dance group Elevate Arts, who entertained us with a group dance and solo performances by members.
It was an event to be remembered especially when Santa came out to surprise the young children with his bag of treats for them to take away.
All around, a successful event and feedback continues to be positive from residents including some also volunteering to help deliver future community events.
