Central Plaza opening event
The event will kick off with a speech from London-based and former South Acton resident, artist Adebayo Bolaji and the unveiling of the People's Throne sculpture, which will mark the opening of Central Plaza on Saturday 14th October 2023 at 11am at Central Plaza
This will be followed by a variety of fun-packed free community events with an arts and cultural theme, some of which will be delivered by local charities partner funded by the Acton Gardens Community Chest,.
Young Urban Art Foundation will be in attendance delivering four different workshops. These will include:
- Music production
- DJ workshops
- Vocal recording, production and lyric writing
- T-Art (Stencils on T-Shirts)
These workshops will be free to attend for young people aged 8 to 19 years, with advance booking required.
There will also be a face painter at Acton Gardens Community Centre for the little ones and pizzas and refreshments for all Acton Gardens and South Acton residents that register to attend via Eventbrite.
Ade will also be delivering his final community workshop. Attendance at Ade's final Art workshop will be a bookable event.
