Central Plaza update
Works started earlier this summer with the removal of the site compound that was surplus to requirement due to the completion of Phase 8.2. The disruptive works have now been completed and we apologies for any inconvenience caused during this period.
As works continue you will begin to see the formation of new pedestrian footpaths that converge at a central location. Local residents and regular park users will see the installation of two new play spaces located on the eastern edge of the park in front.
The final element of the works will be the installation of The Peoples Throne, a piece of public Art created by Adebayo Bolaji a former resident of Acton Gardens. The Throne will be located at the heart of the park and will be a key focus point offering the opportunity for residents to dwell and enjoy the park. The community has been involved with its design through several works shops held with community groups on the estate. The park will be officially opened in October 2023 we hope you will enjoy this space. More information on an opening event for the Central Plaza will follow shortly.
