Construction Workshop Event Held at Acton Gardens
The Acton Gardens LLP were pleased to host a Construction Workshop event for local schools and colleges on the 22nd October 2021. Young people were invited to try their hand at a variety of different trades and professions, including bricklaying, surveying, and architecture. Workshops were help by some of our development partners and introduced young people to the opportunities of construction apprenticeships.
Cllr Bassam Mahfouz also joined us on site to find out more about the job opportunities we have been creating on site for local people in Ealing. As Cabinet Member for Decent Living Incomes at Ealing Council, he was excited to hear about our opportunities for apprentices on site. We also updated him about our recently occupied retail units, including the barbers and education centre, as well as plans for the future to expand our community offering.
